FEZ or Marrakech?

The most popular city in the first two are Morocco Fes and Marrakech. They are the most famous places to visit in Morocco, and everything that comes in Morocco wants to make a turn to them. What makes them so popular? Are actually quite different, with the main difference is the manner in which they were affected.

EDF is the second largest city in Morocco, but it is not much of a tourist trap as some of the other cities. EDF has two parts, the new town and the old city or medina. Medina is a city walled in, with many narrow streets, forming a maze inside it. There are many small shops on either side of the main street packed with brilliant merchandise retailers. Marrakech is a bit smaller than the EDF. Its medina is running in the same way as that is the EDF, with Souk and markets everywhere you go. At night, however, the city of Fes will begin to close, and people close up their shops back home. Marrakech comes alive at night, especially at the large square, And el-Fna square. This square is full of shops and performers. There are snake charmers, singers, storytellers, fortune tellers, shops of dried fruit and various stalls. The Jmaa el-Fna square attracts tons of people every night, tourists and Moroccans. The only places in Fes who are still awake and doing business at night are shops or restaurants in the new town. Sometimes people will gather around the long paths of glittering lights and fountains to socialize. Medina is usually pretty empty at the time.

EDF is one of the imperial cities of Morocco, being more influenced by Arabic culture. Marrakech is more influenced by Berber culture. So the EDF is less touristy and makes a visit more authentic in Morocco. Has some beautiful doors and beautiful things to see there. Marrakech, being tourist-friendly, easier to go around as the EDF complicated might give you a hassle. That said, some prices Marrakech could be higher as are specifically designed for tourists. If you like people and just see so many different things Marrakech is for you. If you want to see the real Morocco, then you should enjoy Fes much more.

There, you will find new, exotic and exciting things to see and do during your stay. Although Marrakech is a fun place to go, is not the place to shop. FES, one of the largest cities in Morocco, you have prices less outrageous and most authentic materials. This city holds all the gems of Morocco, as the great mosque, medina and memorials. Morocco is a wonderful place to travel and be sure that you will have a wonderful time.
